                          This section focuses on some
                          considerations for installing your Harley-

If you feel unsure about installing this system yourself, have it
    installed by a qualified technician.

When drilling holes, make sure what is on the other side. Be sure
that any electrical, fuel lines or any other important components are
free and clear from the area.

                                Before installation, disconnect the battery
negative (-) terminal to prevent damage to

    2. Apply the template to the saddlebag lid and secure using (2) 13. Position the speaker on the assembly with the speaker terminals
Phillips pan head screws (without the built-in washer) that facing the rear of the motorcycle. Use the supplied Phillips screws
came with the kit. Be sure the template sits snug on all sides with the built-in washer to secure the speaker in-place.
and corners of the saddlebag lid before securing. DO NOT overtighten the screws.

    3. Once the template is secured, use a 5/16" drill bit and drill
holes in the template. We suggest drilling every segment to
       make sawing easier.

    4. Begin cutting the template using a jigsaw or airsaw. Cut along
the slots in the template, being careful to follow along the
middle of the slots in the template. When cutting, be
sure the saw blade stays in between the edges of the template.
Cutting into the template will lead to fitment issues.

NOTE: DO NOT cut the segments of the template until all of
the slots have been cut. This will help maintain accuracy and
        fitment for the grilles.

    5. Once all sections of the template have been cut, check the
edges for any irregular areas. Use a file and/or deburring
tool to to smooth out any sections. Carefully remove the tape
from the saddlebag. 14. Place the adhesive backed plastic cable tie mounting tabs to the
                                                                         inside of the saddlebag.
    6. Attach the grille and mounting ring to the bag lid using the
supplied Phillips screws. Be sure to hold the grille with your 15. Route the wire along the inside of the bag and secure to the plastic
thigh or palm to prevent any possible dents in the grille. cable tie mounting tabs with the supplied zip ties.

    7. Run the main harness up the back bone of the bike and to 16. Connect the harness to the speaker RED to (+) and NEG to (-).
the amplifier under the fairing. Plug the REAR SADDLEBAG
connector to the REAR OUTPUT of the amplifier.

    8. Remove the saddlebags form the motorcycle.

    9. Mark a hole on the backside of the saddlebag for the
saddlebag harness. We typically recommend 4" down from
the quick release hole and 3" away from the front edge of the
saddlebag. Use a Step-Up bit to increase the hole size to
3/4". DO NOT make the hole larger than 3/4".

    10. Route the left and right harnesses toward the rear of the
motorcycle. The clutch side may require you to loosen the
        fuse panel to gain access.

    11. Secure the saddlebag harness to the first eyelet in the wheel-
well using the supplied zip ties. 17. Carefully reassemble the motorcycle.

    12. Reattach the saddlebag to the motorcycle and insert the 18. Test and tune the system. If you have a PMX-HD14 radio, you’ll
harness through the saddlebag hole and secure the grommet. want to select the correct tune under SETTINGS > KIT SELECTION
and select the appropriate configuration for your audio system.
