Your Harley-Davidson Road King was built to eat miles, but the factory never gave it a real stereo. The Havoc Roar Stereo 144.2 Sport Handlebar System changes that by putting a full-featured Aquatic AV GP-1 gauge stereo right into a custom Road King nacelle cap, driving a pair of 3.5" HRS handlebar speakers with Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, USB playback, and Sirius/XM sound (from your phone app).
This is built on the same Aquatic AV platform used on Harley touring bikes with batwing and sharknose fairings – but reimagined for a Road King with no fairing. Everything tucks into a beautiful, purpose-built nacelle cap so it looks factory-plus, not bolted-on.
Why Road King riders love the HSR-RK-144.2 Sport Kit
Real stereo, not just “speakers on bars”
At the heart of this system is the Aquatic AV GP-1 gauge stereo, built on the proven Aquatic AV electronics used in Harley touring bikes. You get proper head-unit control and amplification, not a mystery box hidden where you can't see the display.
Feature-rich GP-1 gauge stereo in a custom nacelle cap
The GP-1 comes mounted into a supplied purpose-built Road King nacelle cap, giving you:
- Bluetooth streaming from your phone
- AM/FM radio for local stations
- USB audio for storage or charging
- SiriusXM support when you run the SiriusXM app on your device
All mounted where you can see and use it, in a clean, integrated way that looks like it belongs on the bike.
Compact 3.5" handlebar speakers
Our 3.5" handlebar speakers with massive magnets and full structural aluminum cage give you extremely strong, clear, punchy sound at road speed without turning the front of your bike into a boombox. Tight, compact pods that match the lines of your Road King instead of fighting them.
Built to live on a Harley
Stereo, nacelle, and speakers are all designed to survive on a real motorcycle: weather, vibration, washdowns, and the kind of roads you actually ride. This isn’t home audio gear pretending to be “motorcycle ready.”
A clean path to future upgrades
Start with the 144.2 Sport handlebar system and enjoy proper Road King audio. When you’re ready, you can move up to our multi-speaker HRS systems that add highway bar and bag speakers, knowing you started from a serious front-end platform.
Fitment – Will this system fit my Road King?
This kit is designed specifically for Harley-Davidson Road King models that keep the classic nacelle - choose 1998-2013 or 2014-2025 depending on the year of your bike. Fits
- Road King and Road King Classic with the stock-style headlight nacelle
- Road King Special and similar builds that retain the nacelle and have space at the bars for 3.5" pods
- Bikes running 1", or 1-1/4", or 1-1/2" handlebars (step shims included for mounting)
Basic fitment guidelines:
- Works with most bar setups that leave room near the clamps for 3.5" pods, but the pods can be mounted further up ape-hangers if required (speaker wiring supplied has lots of room to snip as required)
- Not intended for bikes that have converted to a full batwing or sharknose fairing (those use our touring/fairing systems instead)
- If you’ve radically changed the front end (custom nacelle, etc.), we may need photos to confirm
Not sure?
Send us a couple of clear photos of your bars and nacelle and tell us the year of your Road King – we’ll confirm fitment before you order.

FAQ – Common questions
Q: Is this the same electronics as the Aquatic AV stereos used in fairing bikes?
A: Yes. The GP-1 gauge stereo is built on the same Aquatic AV technology used on Harley touring models with batwing and sharknose fairings – Aquatic AV packaged it into a gauge-style unit and we spun the metal to put it in a custom nacelle cap for Road King applications.
Q: Will this fit my year of Road King?
A: In most cases, yes. The 144.2 Sport kit is designed around Road King, Road King Classic, and Road King Special nacelles. It will not work with Customs that have a fly-screen or bikes currently using the nacelle cap for a tach, unless you re-locate that. If you’re unsure, send us your year/model and a couple of photos of your front end and we’ll confirm fitment before you buy.
Q: Do I need to cut or hack my factory wiring harness?
A: No. You’ll connect the system to power and ground at the battery and plug into the supplied harnessing. We do not ask you to cut into the stock Harley-Davidson harness. There is an inline on-off switch to save your battery, so you don't have to worry about using the nacelle toggle from the accessory plug under your seat if that is already in use for something else.
Q: Can I add more speakers later?
A: Yes. The 144.2 Sport system is your handlebar/front-end solution. As you add highway bars or a custom rear setup, you can move up to our 4-speaker and 6-speaker HRS systems built on the same design philosophy.
Q: How does this compare to cheap handlebar speaker kits?
A: Those kits very likely use light-duty electronics and inflated wattage claims. The HRS 144.2 Sport kit uses proven Aquatic AV touring-platform guts in a purpose-built GP-1 gauge stereo and quality 3.5" speakers, tuned specifically for use on a Road King on the road.
